So, I just read the first seven books of the Sookie Stackhouse series. I am dying for the next book, and can't believe I have to wait. Harrumph. I want Sookie to settle down and get serious with Eric. I really like Eric.
But I also like the drama of their relationship. Drama is almost as much fun as resolution. It makes the resolution that much better when it finally happens.
Only problem is that it's left me a little edgy and self-conscious about my own writing. Feeling like my writing isn't good enough, and no one will want to read it. But I can't stop writing, because I really do enjoy telling stories.
Entered into Blizzard's short story contest. Trying to keep it out of my mind, because I don't think I have that good a chance. But I had to do it anyway.
Joined absolutewrite.com. Spiffy site. Lots of friendly people, and some good questions are asked. Even a critiqueing part of the site for getting people to help you out with your work. I like it so far.
On a non-writing note: my rose bush is looking great. He is a flourishing little thing, and I loveses him.
