Went on a bit of a Nicholas Cage bender, watched this while I had nothing better to do. It was better than I expected.
Cage was more restrained than usual, and it worked for the character and the concept. He actually seemed to be acting, but just a little. Didn't want to hurt himself, of course.
Fishburne was in an unfamiliar role, and it was good to see. Not at all likeable, totally druggie asshole, and totally gets what he deserved.
Following the cocaine trail from Columbia to Canada made for some entertaining conflicts, though I have no idea how realistic it is. When the two characters finally meet and the two subplots are tied together, it gets pretty interesting.
It probably deserves a bit better of a rating than it has on IMDB, and I think it's actually worth seeing. So long as you set some medium expectations.
